What the fuck

How the hell does this have a score of 4.3? I guess all you need nowadays is a witty commercial song, since the art and animation are terrible.

This isn't the author's fault, of course, but it's still baffling.

INCREDIBLE ENDING

Everything, while well crafted, was extremely cliche and not at all effective, until the ending (though, looking at the ending, everything was probably so over the top on purpose). I hadn't laughed so hard in a long time. Would've been like a 6/10 if you had done a regular, stupid horror ending.

The sad part is that the writing in this is better than in 90% of the other flash movies on this site.

Are you kidding me?

Almost everything about this is laughable. The story is extremely cliche, the voice acting is AWFUL, and the art looks rushed and really inconsistent.

The story is Saturday morning cartoon/family sitcom material. Little kid wants to be like big brother (since when is Pico a hero, btw?), so he rushes into danger and is saved by his brother. I will admit that the I didn't see him being turned into P-Bot coming, but it's handled terribly (the part where the brother faded out of P-Bot's body literally made me laugh out loud). Kudos for the incompetent mom who can't leave the kitchen and isn't able to stop her 12 year old son from leaving.

Also, not really a complaint, but what is up with the Tron bike?

The voice acting was extremely stiff and it was quite obvious that whoever voiced Pico was trying to do a 'perfect american tough guy hero' voice. Not only was it obvious that it was a young guy trying to sound like Morgan Freeman, it doesn't fit Pico AT ALL. The kid's acting wasn't as ill-fitting as Pico's, but it was still obnoxious.

The animation, I will admit, was quite good. The art, however, was very inconsistent. Why are Pico and his family without outlines and the monster suddenly has them? Why are the mom's arms so skinny? The art just looked very rushed to me.

So, basically, this is extremely cliche and it's pretty sad that this is like the highest rated Pico Day movie at the moment.

Overrated

I like the concept, but at a score of 4.41, this is WAY overrated. The art is typical of movies that get high 2s or low 3s, and the music is really a bit too cheerful and quick, in my opinion.

I definitely have to give you a thumbs up for at least coming up with something original (which in itself is a big deal on NG nowadays), but I don't understand the high score (and I realize that's not your fault).

Good start

Pretty good for your first flash. At least it's visible that you actually put effort into it. I'd be lying if I enjoyed it, but it's a great start. Keep practicing, you have potential.

Now I can bumb your message of the front page with no guilt.

[I love the HALO World]

Zero originality

This perfectly shows what is wrong with Newgrounds. There's pretty much no original content in this movie: the (hugely overused) song is from the Discovery Channel, the animation consists of tweened sprites and the backgrounds are Halo screenshots.

There are no redeeming qualities to this flash, yet it still has an insanely high score simply because it slaps together two popular things. The author did literally nothing here.

Plus, Halo isn't all that great.

Been looking forward to your Clock Day submission since Easy Way Out is my favourite movie on NG, and you didn't disappoint.

I loved the creepy story and music, and your simplistic art style is really refined and professional looking. I envy your eye for good colouring.

I'm genuinely saddened by the fact that you don't submit movies more often. You're a huge inspiration, and one of the few, truly great auteurs on this website.

A bit cliche, but well made.

This idea has been used a lot, but I've kinda always loved it and I think you've made a pretty good movie out of it. I liked how everything was synced to the music.

You get a kinda lowish score cause stick figures suck and are super easy to make.
